Car Line

I've learned that if I'm in 3rd place in the car line then there's a slight chance I'll see Addison when she washes her hands. There's a foyer outside of her classroom with several sinks and water fountains. One day I saw her and a little boy washing their hands. Addison happened to look out the window and saw me sitting there in the car line. She was so excited! Jumping up and down and just being silly. I finally pointed my finger at her and motioned for her to get back to class!

The very next day, Alyssa went with me to pick up Addison. I had already told Alyssa that we may see Addison through the window. Sure enough, Addison came out and washed her hands. Unfortunately, she didn't look out the window and see us. Alyssa was waving and saying 'Addison, hey Addison, it's me, your sister, Alyssa'! It was hilarious! 

Rain = Puddles = Fun

We usually stick to a schedule in the afternoons after Addison gets home from school. Things can get pretty hectic and chaotic without a schedule. The girls got lucky this day! Addison wasn't in a great mood and something had to be done to turn that frown upside down. I said homework can wait, dinner can wait, everything can wait......LET'S JUMP IN PUDDLES! The temp was 80 degrees and the humidity was 1,000%! Everyone felt better after splashing around for a bit. 

Valentine's Day 2014

Happy Valentine's Day! It was a day of partying filled with candy, cards, and crafts! It's been a week and the girls still get out their cards that were exchanged at school and look at them. We did the traditional cards plus the straws in the below picture. I wasn't crafty enough to come up with this idea. I will only take credit for printing, cutting, hole punching, and inserting the straws! A friend designed the straw card and emailed them to me for Addison and Alyssa.

Lunch Date

Blake and I met Addison for lunch last week. We feasted on fish nuggets, fruit, carrots, salad, and water. Addison wasn't crazy about it, so she ate her packed lunch. You know how she is about change and trying new things! On the way to our table, she was trying to think of who to invite to eat with us. Finally, she decided to invite her friend Sofia. We loved eating lunch with these two sweet little girls!

Delicious Dinner

This chicken caught my eye one day at the grocery store - Chicken Stuffed with Crawfish Jambalaya. It was just as tasty and amazing as it sounds! So very good!

Yeah, I like a few beans with my bacon!

100 DAYS OF KINDERGARTEN!

Addison survived. I survived. We did it! Honestly, I think the school should include parents in the 100th day of school party! We deserve a party too. I guess we will have to celebrate on our own this weekend. Earlier in the week, Addison had to count out 100 M&M's and take them to school for the party today. Each student brought a different food and they mixed them all together.

Last night, Blake and I blew up 100 balloons and put them in Addison's room while she slept. She was thrilled to wake up this morning and be surrounded by balloons!

I could've done better. I should've done better. This was as creative as I could get this morning for breakfast. Addison didn't seem to mind at all though.

Growing Girls

Alyssa is 3 years 7 months old: 34.5 inches & 28lbs

Addison is 5 years 10 months old: 43 inches & 43lbs 

(At 3 years 7 months old, Addison was 34.5 inches and 38lbs) 

I promise I feed Alyssa! She seriously eats everything. If a food is put in front of her, she will eat it. Unless she's hasn't had a nap or is just in a bad mood. Yes, that sweet little face sometimes has a frown on it! Addison still doesn't eat a wide variety of food. Lately, she will taste a new food here & there, but I don't stress about it like I used to do. As long as what she's eating is healthy then that's all that really matters. She has carried the same foods in her lunch for the last 99 days of school. Chocolate sandwich (tortilla with Dark Chocolate Dreams peanut butter), cheese stick or cereal bar, fruit/veggie smoothie pouch, Fruitables juice or flavored water. Sometimes, I'll slip in some oranges, grapes, or strawberries instead of the fruit/veggie smoothie pouch. She is such a creature of habit. I'm not sure where she gets that from!

Park

The weather was wonderful last weekend! Such a nice break from the freezing temps we've been having lately. We loaded up and went to the park to enjoy the weather and have some fun.
