One morning as I was leaving the house I had to stop and let these guys cross the street. Such a beautiful sight to see! The other end of this street has a duck crossing sign because of the duck traffic!

Science Project
Here is the result of Addison's 2nd grade Science project. The assignment was to create an imaginary insect and write a report about habitat, behavior, appearance, etc. She got an A!
Muffins with Mom
This year we added 2 new programs at school. Donuts with Dad & Muffins with Mom. We weren't prepared for the overwhelming response for DWD! I think we served 400+ donuts and had to make 3 extra trips to various donut shops! Lesson learned! For MWM we decided to spread it out over 3 mornings and sort by last name alphabet. A-G on Monday, etc. MWM went much smoother and we never ran out of muffins! I ate muffins with Addison and Alyssa on our day. Then on the other 2 days I was helping serve, so the girls got to eat muffins a couple more times! They didn't complain!

Addison's Minecraft Party
Addison chose Minecraft for her 8th birthday party theme! She also wanted it to be at the same gym where Alyssa had her party last year. So, she got her Minecraft gymnastics party last weekend!
After researching cakes and cupcakes we decided to go with the 'grass/dirt' cupcakes! I enjoy a challenge and the 'grass' frosting on the chocolate cupcake was new to me. I've never used the grass frosting tip and it took a few cupcakes to get the hang of it. Some of the cupcakes had frosting that looked like green noodles! I also printed the toppers and laminated them.
