Birthday Party Fun

Addison and Alyssa were invited to a friend's 3rd birthday party last weekend.  I love watching them play when they don't think I'm watching!  So sweet!

Here comes 2 cute little bunnies!

This week was the Easter party at the library and also our last Cuddlebugs class.  The girls dyed eggs and went on an egg hunt in the library (I'm certain the customers in there REALLY appreciated that)!  It was a fun time and we've really enjoyed the library this year.  

There are a few boys in the class, but when the leader said 'let's take a picture', only the girls jumped to be in the picture!

Picture Day

I bought these outfits just because they were super cute and then found out the theme for MDO pictures was going to be beachy.  Perfect!

I've been lazy and not using my camera very much.  After seeing this picture that I took the other day, I'll definitely be putting down the handy dandy iPhone and picking up my camera more!  Is she not the prettiest little girl you've ever seen in your life?  I can't believe she will be FOUR in a month.

State Fair 2012

The girls are going to think we should go to a fair every weekend!  We took a trip to the state fair last Sunday and had a great time.  Perfect weather, yummy food, fun rides!  We visited the petting zoo first and fed the animal some carrots.  I tried to get Addison to ride the pony or the camel, but she wouldn't.  I even offered to ride the camel with her.  Oh well.  Alyssa decided to take a nap after the zoo while Addison enjoyed some rides.  

We worked up an appetite, so it was time for us to graze the food aisles.  So much food, too little stomach!  Fortunately, we didn't have room for a funnel cake or cotton candy!  Maybe next time.

Festival Time 2012

It's time for festivals and fairs!  We went to the annual heritage festival last weekend.  Addison loved the rides and the petting zoo and Alyssa was content in the stroller just watching everything from a distance.  It was perfect weather to be out for the day.

Spray Park 2012

HELLO, SPRING!  The girls had a blast at the first spray park outing of the year.  Fun, sun, and water!

Crib Progress

Last Sunday, I started the transition of putting Alyssa in the crib at bedtime.  She's been napping in the crib for a few weeks now, so it was time to start bedtime too.  I still nurse and rock her for the one nap she takes daily and do the same at bedtime.  She usually sleeps in the crib for a few hours and when she wakes up I bring her to bed with me.  I'm sure this goes against all the parenting books, but it works for us (right now).

Dora Bike

We had a little mini early birthday party for Addison this weekend.  Grams & Pappy got Addison a bike & since we are moving soon they decided she needed it early!  We have a super long driveway that is perfect for bike riding & Addison has already peddled a couple of miles on it :)

Addison got to blow out a candle on her cupcake in Texas AND she 'helped' Pappy & Grams blow out their candle in Australia, too!

The look on her face was priceless when B wheeled the bike in the living room.  Best of all, the webcam was setup so Grams & Pappy could watch it all happen.

A stinking tornado watch isn't going to stop this little girl from riding her new bike!

First Sleepover

I'm not sure how I missed blogging about Addison and Maggie's FIRST sleepover!  A couple of weeks ago we invited Maggie to stay the night with Addison.  Everyone thought that we'd be walking Maggie home at bedtime, but she surprised us all!

Bath Time

My little girls love taking a bath.  When I need 30 minutes of rest I can always count on a bath to rejuvenate us all!  After washing hair I noticed what a difference in length Addison's hair is between dry and wet.  I wonder how long she's going to keep those curls!  They are a pain to keep under control, but sure are cute!
