Addison's Party Day

 Party Day! The party started at 1:30, but we had to be there at 1:00 for the bounce house setup. It was misting a little right before we arrived, but luckily it stopped! Everyone started showing up and the fun began! The bounce house and bubble machine were a huge hit! We also played at the playground for a bit. When it came time to sing Happy Birthday and cut the cake it was too windy for candles, so we skipped them. Addison pretended to blow them out anyway (right before she sneezed on the cake). We had a perfect day and Addison couldn't have been happier!

This is what her face looked like when she opened the Cra-Z-loom gift! I knew the day would come when there would be a zillion little tiny rubber bands in the house, but I resisted up until now. My friend asked me if Addison had any loom sets and I told her no because I didn't want to find rubber bands all over the house. She convinced me that Addison would love it and she was right. I knew the loom bracelets were popular in school. Addison is always coming home with new bracelets from her friends. Now she gets to join in the fun!

Addison Turns 6

Addison awoke to balloons in her bed to begin her birthday celebration! She's been so excited for her special day to arrive!  Waffles for breakfast, Sonic for lunch at school, ice cream after school, and pizza for dinner. All of her favorites that she requested! It was a great day! I wasn't quite as emotional this year. Last year I was a mess. There were still moments when I got a little teary, but managed to stay busy and not dwell on another year gone. Maybe I shed all of my tears when she started kindergarten!

Easter 2014

We had a great Easter weekend in Louisiana at the mom's annual crawfish boil and egg hunt!  We let the girls have their baskets before leaving on our trip. They needed their new sunglasses and Frozen DVD for the road!

Buddy Turns 11

Happy Birthday to our little fella! I remember the days when we used to throw parties for him and get him presents. Then, kids came along! We may not put on a big production like we used to, but his special day never goes unnoticed. 

Payday

When I picked Addison up from school today she couldn't wait to show me a dollar bill and a quarter. I immediately asked her where she got the money. Well, well, well... Mikel (Mullet Michael for us non-fancy folk) gave her a quarter at lunch and then a dollar in the car line. I asker her why and she said because he wanted to giver her money. She then said that she thinks he wants her to buy herself a birthday present. I informed her that she will be returning the dollar bill and quarter to Mikel tomorrow!
