Park Time

One sure way to burn up some energy is by going to the park.  Watching these girls run, play, and explore wears me out, too!

Happy Halloween 2012

A kangaroo and Dora!  Have you ever seen such a cute duo?  We are so lucky to be blessed with these 2 little pumpkins.  Over the weekend we baked cupcakes, carved a pumpkin, and tried to stay warm!  I think it's safe to say we can pack the swimsuits up for a while.  This cold weather has me wishing for my toes to be in the sand on an exotic tropical island.  Well, I guess it doesn't have to be exotic or tropical or an island.  I'm not that picky!

Our closing is still scheduled for next week.  I think the waiting is worse than actually choosing a house!  We are so counting the days.  I usually never say never, BUT I will NEVER live in a 2nd floor apartment again.  It's exhausting to constantly tell the girls not to be too loud, not to jump, not to run, not to stomp, etc.  I can't believe we've never had any formal complaints.  The lady below us once said to try to walk softer.  Really?  She will realize very soon that we've been extremely considerate in trying to keep quiet for her.  

Playground Time

We are loving this beautiful weather!  I will miss having a playground and pool within walking distance, but hopefully we can get the girls a super swing set for our new backyard.  We have a pool in storage, PLUS the new house has an outdoor sprinkler system.  That should be fun for the girls and Buddy!  Our closing is in 2 weeks and we are very excited!

Water Fun

While the weather is still hot, we are taking full advantage of the water activities nearby.  There's always the pool/playground at our apartment, but I like to find new places for the girls and it's amazing all of the little hidden play areas in our town.

Who is this?

I'm not sure when my baby turned into a little girl, but it has happened!  She just recently asked for her fingernails to be painted for the first time ever.  We always paint our toenails, but never fingernails.  This only added to making her look older than I want her to be.

Occasionally, I get a natural smile from her and although in this picture her hair was a mess, I love this picture.

Here's our little artist!  She loves drawing and coloring.  I'm not sure what I'm going to do with all of her priceless pieces, but I will never throw them away.

Flying Under the Radar

Well, not really the radar, but the baby monitor.  Last week, I awoke to the sound of little feet walking around.  I checked the monitor and Alyssa wasn't in her bed!  I got up to investigate and found her standing in the hallway with her diaper (she still wears a diaper at night) in one hand and a pair of panties and shorts from the laundry basket in the other hand!  She told me that she needed to put on her panties.  I told her it was still nighttime, took her to potty, put diaper back on, and sent her back to bed.

This morning when she woke up and came in my room I picked her up to give her love and lay her in the bed with me.  I patted her bottom as I was hugging her and to my surprise she didn't have on a diaper, but had on her pajama pants!  I asked her where her diaper was and she said it was in the bathroom!  She has been very independent lately and wants to use the little potty, dump in in the big potty, flush, etc all by herself.  I immediately jumped up to see if there was a mess in the bathroom.  No mess!  I guess she knew what she was doing.  Maybe it's time to stop the diapers at night.  I have about 2 weeks worth left and said I wouldn't buy anymore after those are gone.

Pumpkin Patch 2012

There's a pumpkin patch right up the street, so we went there to get pumpkins this morning.  Afterwards, we shopped for costumes.  Addison found a kangaroo costume that she loves, but Alyssa hasn't found one yet.  She keeps saying that she wants to be Dora, but I'm trying to convince her to be something else.  We'll see...

Yes, the girls can still wear their shirts from last year!  Alyssa's was a little tight, so I think her shirt will be retired when if comes off tonight.  

Zoo Time

Please enjoy the hell out of these pictures!  I've been trying all week to upload these!  I sure hope the Internet at our new house is MUCH better.

We went to the zoo a couple of weekends ago.  It seems like each time we go we find something new!  This time it was the aquarium and it was super neat.  We made it just in time to the sea lion exhibit to watch the show with the trainer.  The sea lion danced, sang, waved, played.  It was a great time!

CEC with Memaw

I'm so frustrated with our Internet service that I can't even blog without seeing red!  It takes forever to upload pictures and it's been this way since moving to this apartment.  Hopefully, we get a call today and our counter offer is accepted on a HOUSE!  Yes, a house!  A house with a backyard, THREE bedrooms, GARAGE, A+ school district, different Internet provider!

Mom came over a couple of weeks ago and we took the girls to CEC for a little lunch and play!
