Visit Home

After spending some time at the lake, we headed home to visit for a few days.

Big Girl Panties

Alyssa started wearing big girl panties on August 12th!  She was ready and has done a fantastic job.  I even left panties on her for our 7 hour drive home last Saturday!  I figured I was either really brave or really dumb.  Turns out I had nothing to worry about.  We stopped every hour or two unless she was sleeping.

Minnie Mouse

Alyssa brought her Minnie costume to me and said 'mama, play dress up'!  I think she's the cutest Minnie ever!

HEB has the best buggies!  Alyssa has the perfect spot to sit her phone and play games or watch a movie while mommy shops in peace!

Beating the Heat

The pool on our side of the street has been closed for repairs lately.  The other pool doesn't have the same cool little splash area like ours, so it isn't nearly as much fun.  Thank goodness, our pool is fixed now!

Nap

One day Alyssa was screaming in her crib and wouldn't lay down for her nap.  So, I went in her room, took her out of the crib and sat her on the floor.  Less than 5 minutes later she was asleep....on the floor!  I didn't bother moving her, but did cover her with a blanket.

Lake with Grams

Last Friday we went to the lake for a visit with Grams.  Grams and Pappy have been in Australia for a year, so it's been a very long time!  This week Pappy will arrive in the US and we plan to go back to the lake for another visit.  They will only be home a short time, so we have to make the most out of our visits when they are home.

Bunk Beds

Once again, I turned my back for 10 seconds and this happened!  These girls are quick in their destruction!  My little partners in crime!
