Sleepovers

I'm becoming a pro at hosting sleepovers! The last 2 weekends, Addison had friends stay the night. Luckily, the big girls don't mind Alyssa hanging out with them. 

Days of our Lives

Field Trip

Alyssa's teacher has quite a few hermit crabs. They've been studying them in class and Alyssa is fascinated by them. I promised her that we would go to Petsmart one day and look at them. Well, we had to go buy presents at Toys R Us and as we were leaving Alyssa pointed out Petsmart and reminded me of my promise. So, like a good mommy we spent over one hour in the store looking at all the animals! The sales associate was super nice and patient. She took the time to take some of the animals out of the cages for the girls to touch and see close up. The picture below is of a baby python. Addison was more into touching then animals than Alyssa was. The hermit crabs weren't cooperating and never would come out of their shells for us. But, Alyssa still enjoyed looking at them.

Party Day

Last Saturday, both girls had birthday parties to attend! I took Addison to a spa party from 10-12:30 and then hurried home to get Alyssa and take her to the next party from 1-4! It was a busy day filled with friends, fun, and food!

Valentine's Day Parties

We really went above and beyond on these card boxes! In the past, the girls have made their own boxes at school and I never had to worry with them. They turned out perfect! Everyone got lots of goodies at the school parties and we still have way too much candy in our candy bowl!

100th Day of School

These sweet girls are 100 days smarter! They both had the option to dress like a 100 year old, but only Alyssa did. I found her some reading glasses and popped out the lenses then put a pearl necklace on her! Oh, her hair was in a bun too. They worked hard on their 100 Day posters and I think they turned out great!

Buddy

 A while back Buddy started losing tons of hair and the vet said it was probably weather related. It was cold and he grew his winter coat. Then it turned warm and he began to shed like crazy. I bought the badass pet brush 'Furminator' and it made a huge difference. Shortly after Hairgate, Buddy suddenly became very anxious and skittish at the slightest sounds/activities around the house. We still don't know what triggered it. All of his labs came back normal except an elevated red blood cell count. The vet said he expected to see the increase because anxiety can cause it. Buddy began taking Xanax as needed and he's doing so much better. It's been a couple of weeks since I've given him a pill! Yay!

Buddy will be 13 years old in April!
