Birthday & Shower

Last weekend, we had a birthday party and a baby shower to attend. We had been looking forward to going to the baby shower as a family, but then got the birthday party invitation for Addison from her BFF. So, we split up and enjoyed both! Blake took Addison to the birthday party and I took Alyssa to the baby shower in Austin. Everyone had an awesome time!

Addison went to a party at Paint Until You Faint. It's a little place where you can pick a craft then get instructions on how to create your masterpiece! Addison chose a cupcake to paint and did a great job. Now she's ready to paint more! Guess that will be a great summer project to add to my growing list of activities to keep everyone happy and not bored!

Alyssa and I had a nice drive to Austin. We enjoyed seeing everyone and spending time with KJ and her family! Our visits are few and far between, but that's about to change. The drive was super easy and a very doable day trip! The only other time we've ever been was for her wedding in 2009. Now that we live much closer than before, we won't hesitate to hit the road!
