Santa and Reindeer

The girls got to watch Santa feed his reindeer.  There is a reindeer cam online and Santa feeds his reindeer 3 times a day.  It's a MUST SEE for kids and adults.

Deep Breath

At the store last week there was a buggy with a double cozy coupe attached to it.  We've seen these before, but I've always been successful in directing the girls attention elsewhere.  Not this time.  I swear this thing was yelling to Alyssa and Addison "RIDE IN ME, RIDE IN ME".  It was one of those times where you take a deep breath, swallow the the vomit that almost came out of your mouth, and get out the sanitizing wipes.  I should have pushed the buggy next door to the carwash first, but there wasn't time to have the cozy coupe detailed and sterilized.  I made my girls SO happy and that made me happy.

Christmas Festival

We drove downtown to a festival to see Santa.  We waited and waited and waited for Santa to show, but he never did.  It was scorching hot standing in line waiting for him, so we gave up.  Santa let us down, but we got to visit with Elmo, Hello Kitty, Mickey, and Minnie.  It was worth the trip after all!  The girls got to play in the bounce houses, write letters to no-show Santa, and dance.

Trampoline Time

The girls love the trampoline at papaw's house.  We may get them one for our house next year.  I remember spending many hours on our trampoline growing up and know it would be money well spent and last for a long time.

Decorations

Memaw has been busy decorating for Christmas.  The girls keep asking when we are going to put lights on our house!  Hopefully, we can get around to that this weekend.  Our neighborhood has the reputation of the place to go to see Christmas lights.  The monthly HOA newsletter devotes several pages to decorating and what to expect around the holidays.  There are suggestions on how/where to put lights, reminders & warnings about the increased traffic, times that lights should be on/off.  I'll try to get some pictures/videos in the coming weeks of all the lights.  Santa will not have any problem finding our house!

Our Buddy

Buddy was finally able to come home with us and see his new house!  We couldn't be happier to finally have him home and I think he's pretty happy too!  He has settled in and claimed his spot back on the bed.  I've missed him keeping my feet warm at night.  We took him to a new vet to have his nails trimmed and get a quick check-up.  I know my dad took great care of him, but since we were already at the vet for his nails it didn't hurt to have him get a quick exam.  The vet and staff are super nice and really made everyone feel welcome.  While the vet was examining Buddy she was telling the girls everything she was looking and listening for.  She even let them both listen to Buddy's heartbeat with the stethoscope.

Bike Time

Our backyard has a huge concrete/brick patio that is perfect for riding bikes and a million other uses!  I need to get a better picture that really shows the size.  Alyssa took Elmo for a ride and Addison took her monkey.
