Field Day

Last Friday was Field Day for Addison and Alyssa! I volunteered to help Addison's school before I knew Alyssa's was the same day, so I couldn't split up my time to be at both. Addison and her friends had so much fun! Relay races, obstacle courses, gigantic bounce house, water balloon toss, etc. Alyssa had fun at her Field Day, too.

Blankie: Through the Years

I'm going to go ahead and say it....Addison has been without her beloved blankie for about 4 months now! It's a miracle! Back in January I made this POST about how I tried to say farewell to blankie. It didn't go well. A couple of weeks later, I washed the blankies and forgot to give Addison a clean one. She didn't ask for it and I didn't offer it. As the weeks went by, she asked for blankie about 5 times, but I was able to distract and redirect her.

Faces

There's a new app I downloaded for the girls. Alyssa has a ball making the same faces as the fish! 

Bloody Nose

While playing outside with the sidewalk chalk last a couple of weeks ago, Addison's nose began to bleed. She felt fine other than her nose gushing blood. It was bad. It was real bad. The bleeding stopped after a few minutes, but I was still paranoid. I made her sleep in the bed with me to keep an eye on her. The next morning I made her an appointment to see the pediatrician so she could tell me that Addison was fine. That's exactly what happened too. Addison has to do a nasal spray and take Zyrtec for the rest of May. The pediatrician said it was allergies.... Alyssa gave Addison extra loving the whole day. I guess she thought something was really wrong with her. 

Mother's Day 2014

I had a wonderful Mother's Day and loved all of the special crafts from the girls. Those are more precious to me than anything money can buy.

Cupcakes and tea (using our fine China)! Addison was shocked when I suggested we use it. She was tickled and thought it was the greatest tea party every!

My Shadow

Me and my shadow playing before drop-off at preschool. I can't believe school is almost over! It's funny....I cried when school started and am pretty sure I will cry when school is over for the summer! Part of me is looking forward to doing whatever we want on our own schedule and the other part of me is nervous about keeping them entertained for the summer and never getting a break. I have no doubt we will have a great time and enjoy our time together though.

Zoo Day

Well, the plan was to have a zoo day! It's been a while since we've visited the zoo and I forgot that you DO NOT go to the zoo at noon and expect to find a parking place. We drove around along with thousands of other cars trying to find a spot. Didn't happen. So, we left one zoo and went to another one....Chuck E Cheese!
